Write Research Papers and Essays with Confidence and Clarity ... Using "The One-Idea Rule"

Students in their late teens and early twenties often need help dealing with new kinds of challenges in their academic work. As the subjects they encounter become more complex and the length of their assignments grow substantially, these young men and women require new approaches to writing that facilitate intellectual growth and shore up their self-confidence.  After a thirty-year career as writer, instructor, and editor (including many years in these roles at Harvard University), I’ve come up with a battle-tested method that’s crafted for students who are embarking on their adult lives: The One-Idea Rule.  This approach meets theses students where they are academically and helps them to gain the skills to aim higher as they move from high school to college.
